We encourage those who have found an animal who are able to keep them while searching for their rightful owners to do so for as long as possible, as it is less stressful for the animal, and allows more room in the shelter for animals who have no other options.
 
We will post your information for 90 days in the hopes that your animal is found, or to help return the animal you found back to his/her people. Animals posted on this site need to have been lost or found in the Taos area to insure there is adequate room for all our community members. Regretfully, we cannot post animals who were found outside our area.
 
To post a lost or found animal, please send us an e-mail with a description of the animal including where and when it was lost or found and a photo (web sized) if you are able to do so. You can also come to the shelter and bring a flyer. We will scan the flyer and post that for you.
 
After 90 days or in the event you find your animal or find a found animal's owner we will delete the posting. Please do be sure to let us know as soon as your situation is resolved to allow more room for others in need.
