Stray Hearts Animal Shelter of Taos is dedicated not only to the sheltering and care of lost and abandonded animals, but also to the responsible handling of animals. We approach this through education for animals and their humans.

Through our training programs, the animals we care for become more adoptable and we can acheive successful placement into permanent, loving homes. By participating in our training programs, whether you have adopted an animal from Stray Hearts or your best buddy came to you another way, the quality of life for you and your canine or feline friend can improve and deepen. We offer programs in obedience, behavior modification, agility, and more.
